It is important that you think about why you are looking for treatment and what results you want from the therapy. Balance bodyworks has set out the following few questions that may help guide you to which treatment may be best. They can also be good to discuss at the time of booking a treatment as a pre-indicator to treatment for the therapist:

Q - Are you suffering from specific muscular pain and patterns of tension? Do you need to prepare for / recover from exercise? Have you had an injury?
A - Remedial, sports or deep tissue techniques can be extremely beneficial for such situations

Q - Do you feel the need to slow down and shake off the stresses of a busy life? Do you work hard and deserve to spoil yourself?
A - Why not come in and let yourself be pampered with a full body Swedish / relaxation massage. An aromatherapy massage can also be extremely beneficial as the massage in conjunction with specific essential oils can induce an incredible sense of wellbeing

Q - Are you pressed for time? Always on the go? Need a quick effective treatment to keep relaxed / focused?
A - Try one of the quick fix massages. Great for a pick-e-up or to work some of the most common areas of dysfunction

Q - Do you want the therapist to work on specific areas and / or do you like a fairly firm massage?
A - Perhaps a deep tissue massage or myofascial release in conjunction with the therapist using warming heat packs is best for you. This is great for more focussed treatment where specific areas need to be looked at. These techniques can target specific muscles groups but with the added bonus of using essential oils to aid the desired result. Along with the treatment, patients can be given an oil blend to take away

Q - Are you looking to treat someone else or buy a voucher?
A - An Aromatherapy massage can be tailored to the patients to either lay back and relax or work with specified muscles groups but with the added bonus of using essential oils to aid the desired result. Along with the treatment patients will be given an oil blend to take away
